Attacking cold and flu season, before it attacks you!

As the seasons change, so does our training.  We must be disciplined enough to know when we need a break in all the mountains in our lives: Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, Spiritually & Intuitionally.

Our immune system is attacked from many angles this time of year.  Over training, stress of family and holidays, travel, change in season and a multitude of other factors.

My immune system is hard to compromise.  I approach cold and flu season the same way we plan and prepare for everything else. I have a plan of attack!  Before I even feel an intruder invading my body, I have already built my defense walls with daily health and maintenance.  I keep my arsenal ready to go of supplements and homeopathic remedies that I know work for ME.

One week of over training, stress or losing my mission in action, I could be out.  How can I make this so easy I can’t fail?  I ALWAYS have these and replace them as soon as I run out.

Surrounded by people who are sick: Consider these….

-Bone Broth.  You knew this was coming!  Look through archived articles and videos for a break down on bone broth.  The cure all!

-Bubs Naturals Collagen. (Find more information here)

-Activated charcoal. This helps rid the body of unwanted substances by binding to toxins and eliminating them. Activated charcoal eliminates the bacteria responsible for causing stomach flu.

– AMINO ACIDS!  The building blocks! Branched-chain amino acids are essential nutrients that the body obtains from proteins found in food, especially meat, dairy products, and legumes. They include leucine, isoleucine, and valine. “Branched-chain” refers to the chemical structure of these amino acids. People use branched-chain amino acids for medicine.

-Magnesium.  Every single one of you reading this….yes YOU, should be taking magnesium.  There are many different forms and strains. Work with your practitioner to figure out which one is best for you at different times in your life.  You may also refer to archived articles that breaks down the benefits and necessity of magnesium.

-Oil of Oregano.  This stuff is strong!  Dr. Mercola writes “I highly recommend adding oregano oil to your arsenal of natural healing tools, as it has a wide range of uses.  This herbal oil is a powerful. Antimicrobial that can help fight off infections.  Oregano oil also has antibacterial antiviral and antifungal properties”.  I carry a small vial when I travel.  A little goes a long way.  A couple of drops in water, swig and swallow may just save your immune system.

-Yin Chiao Echinacea Complex.  This is a time-honored classic.  Most likely you find a form that has mixed traditional Chinese and north American dynamics.  These herbs rooted in deep history assist in white blood cell production.  I start popping these like candy (popping any pills is NOT highly recommended J) as soon as I feel a cold coming on or have been around people who are ill.  Seriously, it works!

-Sovereign Silver spray.  Colloidal silver is commonly used for colds and sinus infections.  Dr. Axe does a great job of breaking down 8 proven benefits including: antibacterial wound care/skin health, pink eye/ear infection, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, sinusitis, cold/flu and pneumonia.  This is part of my morning ritual.  I have been using this daily (in the form of nasal spray) for years. So far, so good! Https://draxe.com/colloidal-silver-benefits/

-Wellness Herbal resistance liquid with Echinacea, goldenseal and yin chiao immune support.  The mixture of these herbs will help boost your immune system and maintain balance.  Doubling down on holistic immune support/booster is a good thing, but not necessary.

-Goldenseal. This herb helps to improve diarrhea related to an intestinal infection.
